Prosenjit will be seen as Kakababu directed by Srijit Mukherjee

          It is going to be a new addition to the investigators in bengali movie industry. It is going to be Kakababu, Sunil Gangopadhyay's immortal thriller character. We have seen Abir as Byomkesh Bakshi, Sabyasachi as Feluda and now we will see our very own Bumbada (Prosenjit) to thrill as Kakababu onscreen. And the director? The director & writer of Chryme Thriller "Baishey Srabon" the one & only Srijit Mukherjee. Baishey Srabon was a huge hit a recently it is known that the movie will be shown as the closing film at the London Indian Films Festival this year. Everyone knows about the storytelling power of Srijit Mukherjee (we experienced it form Baishey Srabon) and moreover Prosenjit; the hit duo is back again to thrill the viewers.

Kakababu

          Kakababu is a investigator character created by Sunil Gangopadhyay. Raja Roychowdhury aka Kakababu is the ex-Director of Archaeological Survey of India who lost his one leg in a jeep accident in Himalayas and thus uses crutch to walk. But this physical challenge has not stopped him from solving critical cases or fighting the enemies or escaping narrowly from death. Santu (Shontu) is his companion in all the adventure journeys. Sunil Gangopadhyay started the journey of Kakababu with Bhoyonkor Sundor in Autumn of 1971 on Anandamela Magazine. After that it is all history till date. Kakababu became one of the most sought after adventure character in bengali literature. As TOI reported that Sunil Gangopadhyay confirmed this report and Srijit Mukherjee with a producer has already bought the rights of 3 Kakababu stories including Mishor Rohoshyo. Srijit is now days busy with his Hemlock Society. After that he will start shooting for this movie. The central character Kakababu will be portrayed by Prosenjit  but the other characters are not yet confirmed.
